Each family tree site on the web has strengths and weaknesses. I maintain family trees on four sites. Although I hope one day to combine them into a master tree, for this active phase of research and discovery, I will continue with the four. Each offers different features, user interfaces, collections of information, and type of collaboration.

Ancestry.com

1066 individuals in my tree. Abundant records, good interface, but many poorly researched trees.

Myheritage.com

1345 individuals in my tree. Good records database, especially for European records.

Familysearch.org

A single, shared tree. Records database is good, but too many entries are poorly researched; people can willy nilly change entries in your branch of the tree, sometimes adding wrong information.

Wikitree.com

A single, shared tree, carefully curated, that aims to "grow an accurate single family tree that connects us all and is freely accessible to us all".
